The summer sun can sometimes be overwhelming, but many people end up enjoying that intense heat. Something intense, annoying and that no one can stand are the mosquitoes that get excited when summer comes. So getting rid of mosquitoes or scaring them away is a necessary task.
Mosquitoes, gnats and many types of flying insects constantly stalk us. Maybe you don’t know it, but cloves are extremely common in most homes and their smell drives them away.

This recognized aromatic herb is an excellent repellent, it has its origins in Indonesia, it is used as a cooking ingredient on a regular basis. But cloves also contain therapeutic properties.

PROPERTIES OF CLOVES
In addition to being a mosquito repellent, cloves are known for the health benefits they can bring. Among the benefits we find properties:

CLOVE ESSENTIAL OIL MOSQUITO REPELLENT
It is necessary to have a remedy to scare away mosquitoes at hand, it is necessary especially when we are in a place where they tend to bite us continuously.

A mosquito repellent is clove, and because we will surely have it at hand in the kitchen, it is the best option to prepare clove oil to repel mosquitoes from our side.

To make clove oil, follow these simple steps:

INGREDIENTS:
A bottle, preferably with a dropper, made of dark glass
35 ml of baby oil (or olive oil if you don’t have baby oil)
6 cloves, you can find it in any herbalist’s shop

PREPARATION:
Place the oil on a low heat, just warm it up, don’t boil it.
Add the cloves and let it sit until it cools down with the environment.
Put it in the bottle, let it sit for about 10-15 days in a dark place
Strain the contents and voila, you have clove oil for mosquitoes.

OTHER NATURAL REPELLENTS TO TRY
Eucalyptus:

For this recipe, you need 250g of eucalyptus, its leaves. And a litre of water.

Boil the eucalyptus with water for approximately 45 minutes, so that its leaves can release all their properties and essences. When you turn it off and it is still hot, pour it into the most humid areas of the house and, especially, on the window and door frames. This will prevent mosquitoes from entering.

Chamomile: You will need water (quantity to suit you) and 250grs of chamomile, its flowers. Wash the chamomile flowers well and rub them on the skin. Repeat this procedure every two hours.

Almonds: It is especially used for children and babies who are the favorites of insects, it is effective, but also very gentle.

The ingredients needed are: 20 drops of basil essence, 20 drops of geranium essence and 100ml of almond oil. Mix the 3 ingredients and apply to the skin.

Lavender: You need a moisturizing cream for the skin and 100ml of lavender oil. Mix it, and apply directly to the skin. It will protect you from mosquitoes as well as feeling fresh.

OTHER TIPS TO REPEL MOSQUITOES

Place mint leaves in the patio, inside your house or in the garden. You can crush them with a little water to release more of the smell.

Have a fresh basil plant in your house, put them in the rooms so that mosquitoes do not enter. This is an aromatic plant that helps repel insects, it is even used as a

living fence in gardens.

Use a container with water, but not much. Add some cut garlic cloves. Give it time to macerate and then pour it into a spray bottle. Spray it all over your house, especially in the corners of windows, doors and curtains. Garlic sulfur helps repel mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and flies.
