Upside-down apple cake: the ASMR recipe you’ll love!
INGREDIENTS
3 apples cut into quarters
For the dough:
150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
220 g butter
340 g (1 cup) honey
180 ml (3/4 cup) buttermilk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
300 g ( 2 1/2 cups) flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
10 g baking powder
For the caramel:
100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
3 tablespoons water
PROCEDURE
1. In saucepan, add sugar and water, cook over medium heat until caramelized, and top apples with prepared caramel.
2. In another saucepan, cook the butter for 6 minutes over medium heat, mix with the honey, buttermilk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract, sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and add salt. Pour over apples and caramel.
3. Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 1 hour. Leave to cool for 15 minutes and serve.
