Welcome Tips How to Make Sansevieria Bloom and Fragrance for Weeks

With its long, elegant leaves that soar into the air, the sansevieria is one of the easiest plants to maintain. Robust, it adapts to all types of lighting and withstands irregular watering, in addition to being a depolluting plant.

And thanks to its graphic and designer leaves, it is the perfect plant to embellish our decors!

Few people know that the Sansevieria, if well cared for, can also thrive. In this article, we explain how to make a sansevieria bloom to release its classic and delicious fragrance.

How to maintain this indoor plant?

  • Exposure: bright light without direct sunlight.
  • Dimensions:  from 30 to 70 cm, and +.
  • Watering: once a week. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Reduce watering drastically in winter (once a month, or less if the temperature is cool).
  • Maintenance: every month, or even a little more often, wipe the leaves with a clean, damp sponge to remove dust. Never use milk on them, as is often recommended, as you would only add a greasy film to the foliage. Do not use a polishing product either, as it is too polluting.
  • Repotting: the plant does not need to be repotted too often. Every 4 or 5 years, when you see that it is starting to feel really cramped in its pot, give it a new container, with a diameter and depth 3 to 5 cm larger, no more.

The important thing is that the pot provides good stability to the plant.

Notes: Never cut the tip of the leaves, even if you find it a little prickly. This is where the growing point is. If you remove it, the development of the plant will be stopped.
