Dirty socks, what a problem!
Raise your hand if you have never had to deal with stubborn stains on your socks! It is impossible not to have struggled with a few brown stains on your socks or your children’s socks. Athletes, hikers, but also children who like to walk around barefoot risk getting their socks irreparably dirty. Even if we have a lot of them in the laundry drawer, we certainly cannot throw a few of them away every day.
After machine washing, even at high temperatures, however, the socks may not come out as white as before. The same can be true if you pre-treat: the stains may not disappear, quite the contrary. So let’s look at a method that will make our socks look new again and, above all, save us time and money, the money spent on the often unnecessary chemicals that we usually use.

How to fix it
The ingredients you will need to quickly clean your dirty socks are found in all kitchens and are very inexpensive. It is in fact a key ingredient in household cleaning or sodium bicarbonate which is known for its whitening, sanitizing and anti-odor power. Another ingredient is white wine vinegar which, combined with bicarbonate, has great degreasing power.
In a container, put half a liter of hot water. Add a tablespoon of baking soda and a tablespoon of dish soap. Here again, you will need two tablespoons of white wine vinegar and a teaspoon of fine salt. Mix the ingredients well.
Once the elements have melted, insert the dirty socks inside the container with the help of a glove. Soak them for about two hours. Once the soaking time has elapsed, take the socks out and immediately see how they have returned to their original pure white.
