Whipped coffee, otherwise known by the English name “Dalgona Coffee”. Simple to make, this cold and sweet drink will delight your taste buds. Find out how to prepare it in just a few moments. Since the discovery of coffee, the drink prepared from these small seeds has become a breakfast essential.

Generally consumed as a hot drink, coffee can however be presented in many forms: As a dessert in tiramisu or as a cold drink, its bitter and strong taste has many fans. If you are one of them, this preparation will not fail to delight you. Here is the recipe for “whipped coffee”.

Ingredients

  • 1 sachet of instant coffee
  • Some water
  • Sugar
  • 1 glass of milk
  • A few ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon crushed toasted almonds (optional)

Preparation

  1. To prepare this recipe, you will need to start with the coffee foam which will adorn your drink.
  2. To do this, mix the sugar, instant coffee and water in equal volumes in a large container. It is advisable to use the amount of instant coffee that you regularly use for a cup, and to adjust the volume of sugar and water.
  3. At this stage of the recipe, you will need to mix the three ingredients using a whisk. You can do this manually or use an electric mixer to save time.
  4. Once the desired foamy and creamy consistency is achieved, simply prepare a glass, place a few ice cubes and milk in it, and garnish everything with the coffee foam on top.
  5. To finish, sprinkle your drink with chocolate powder and crushed toasted almonds. Your coffee is ready, you can proceed to tasting.
  6. Please note that coffee mousse can also be used as a dessert, to decorate your cakes or pastries!
