Pickled garlic without canning that can be used all year round and is like fresh

Ingredients

1 l water
60 – 70 g salt
1 full glass of garlic bulbs
120 g sugar
220 ml vinegar
8-10 pieces pepper
2-3 pieces bay leaves

preparation

1. First, clean the garlic bulbs, wash them under running water and let them dry on a cloth. Clean enough garlic bulbs to fit up to the rim in a 700 ml jar.

2. Next, place bay leaves and pepper between the tubers. Prepare the liquid.
Pour hot water into the jars and close them. Let sit for 20 minutes, then pour the water back into the pot.

Add salt and sugar and bring the whole thing to the boil. When the water is boiling, stir in the vinegar.

3. Now pour this pouring back into the glasses. Close the jars well.
Now place the glasses upside down, let them cool down and then put them in the cellar.
