Gyros macaroni casserole, I prepare it at least twice a week!
Ingredients
300 g macaroni, short
450 g gyros meat, ready-made, frozen
150 ml cream
400 ml water
250 g Gouda, grated
1 bunch of spring onions
1 – 2 zucchinis
Nutmeg Salt and pepper
Paprika powder
Vegetable stock powder
Fat for the mold
1 tbsp oil
1 pepper, red
260 g cherry tomatoes
1 – 2 tbsp flour or more as needed

That is how it goes:
1. First cook the pasta in salted water until al dente and drain. Then wash and clean the vegetables well, halve the tomatoes, halve the zucchini lengthwise and cut into slices, cut the spring onions into rings, the peppers into thirds and also into strips.
2. Next, slowly fry the gyro meat in oil, then remove it and set aside briefly. Fry the vegetables in the roasting pan, add the meat again, dust with flour, sweat briefly and stir in at least 400 ml of water (depending on how much sauce you want), cream and vegetable stock. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Season with nutmeg, pepper, salt and paprika powder.
3. Finally, layer the pasta, gyros and 2/3 of the cheese alternately in a greased dish, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Now just bake in a preheated oven at 210° for about 20 minutes.
