Easy-to-prepare crusty homemade bread, especially to accompany tea!

Nothing tastier than making  crusty homemade bread,  ideal to accompany a delicious tea, coffee or mate. A different and easy proposal to prepare at home and in a short time, it is perfect when we have unexpected visitors.

Furthermore, the procedure is simple, once we try this homemade recipe we will not want to stop making these homemade breads.

In fact, it only has 3 basic ingredients, flour, water and salt. Logically, others are added that will give it more flavor.

Let’s get to the recipe:

Easy to prepare crispy homemade bread

First of all, let’s see what ingredients are required to make this crispy homemade bread:

Ingredients

  • 500 gr. of wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp. of sugar
  • 8 gr. of baking powder
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 90 ml. of vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 100 gr. Of flour
  • 150 gr. grated cheese
  • Sesame (optional)

Preparation of crusty homemade bread

  1. To begin, we add the cup of warm water and the cup of warm milk, the tablespoon of sugar and the yeast to a bowl, mix all the ingredients well. We cover the bowl with a towel and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, we separate the yolk from the egg. We can do it with the help of a strainer to facilitate this method.
  3. Next step, uncover the bowl, mix and add the vegetable oil. We continue mixing and we are going to add the flour, sifting it with a large strainer.
  4. We continue mixing with a wooden spoon and sift the 100 gr. remaining flour to give it a soft texture.
  5. Then, we remove it from the bowl and begin to knead until it forms a soft ball. smooth and homogeneous.
  6. Once we achieve a moderately soft dough, we proceed to oil a bowl and place the bun, we also cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
  7.  After the time passes, we uncover it and the dough will have doubled, which we are going to knead a little more and divide it in the middle to start working with the breads.
  8. We knead both parts of the bun and while we let one rest, we begin to stretch the other with a kneading stick to the size of an oven tray.
  9. Then, we place it on a piece of parchment paper and do the same with the other. Next, we take a stretched dough and begin to fill it with grated cheese all over the surface.
  10. Next step, we cover with the other dough to cover, seal or join the edges and lightly pass the rolling pin over it.
  11. Finally, we are going to mark the dough with some lines using a grid. The idea is to make them square, so we not only mark straight lines but also support the grid crossing the straight lines.
  12. To finish, place 1 egg and a few tablespoons of milk in a small container, mix and brush the surface of the stuffed homemade bread. Directly into a preheated oven at 180 C, for about 30 minutes of cooking or until golden brown.
