Do you have old pans at home with accumulations of burnt grease?

Don’t worry, even a neglected pan you’re about to throw away can still be saved.

You don’t need expensive cleaning products.

Follow this tutorial from the Usta Fikirler YouTube channel.

This cleaning method is suitable only for stainless steel pots and pans.

Potato Cleaning Mixture You will need:

  • washing powder
  • Potato
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 240 grit sandpaper

Process:

  • First, remove the handle from the pan.
  • Then, fill it with water.
  • Place the pan with water on the stove and wait for it to heat up a little.
  • Sprinkle it with washing powder to soften the grease a little.
  • Grate the potato with peel and add a tablespoon of salt.
  • Then, add baking soda and baking powder.
  • Remove skillet from heat; You should see that the grease has been released and the water is dirty.
  • Pour out the dirty water and rinse with cold water to cool it down.
  • Place the pan on a cloth and rub it well with the mixture you prepared.
  • Sprinkle a little salt on top and clean it with sandpaper.
  • You can add a little water to the pan and continue cleaning until all the burnt residue is gone.
  • You will see that the pan shines beautifully and does not scratch.

This is how you clean the outside of the pan too, then rinse it.

Ready, it shines almost like new!

You can see the entire process in the video attached at the end of the article.

Cleaning mixture with vinegar and toothpaste You will need:

  • Sodium bicarbonate
  • Paper towels
  • Vinegar
  • Boiling water
  • Liquid soap
  • Toothpaste
  • Protective gloves

Process:

  • Put on protective gloves.
  • You can start.
  • Turn the pan upside down to remove any burnt-on gunk from the outside.
  • Cover the entire pan with paper towels.
  • Spray liberally with vinegar using a spray bottle.
  • Then, turn the pan over and sprinkle liberally with baking soda.
  • Also cover the inside with paper towels.
  • Repeat the process with vinegar, wetting the paper towels well with it.
  • Disassemble all removable parts of the pan and coat them with baking soda as well. Wrap them in paper towels.
  • Again, don’t forget to spray with vinegar.
  • Now place the wrapped pan along with the other pieces in a large pot.
  • Pour boiling water over everything.
  • Let everything react and act.
  • The burnt fat will separate from the pan on its own, so now you can remove the thick bits with tongs.
  • When the coarse dirt is gone, sprinkle baking soda back into the pan.
  • Add a little liquid soap, a little toothpaste and a little vinegar.
  • Now mix everything together using the rough side of a sponge.
  • And rub on both sides of the pan.
  • Finally, you just need to rinse the pan and all its parts with clean water and wipe with the sponge.
  • All that remains is to place the handle back in the pan.
  • Ready!
  • You won’t believe it’s the same pan, the result is fantastic!
