The great trick to eliminate the smell of urine from the bathroom and leave a pleasant aroma

By Lesia

The bathroom remains one of the most fragrant rooms in the house and deserves more attention in its maintenance. Between smells of mold, damp or urine, the bathroom environment becomes repulsive to say the least. The methods that we present to you in this article aim to eliminate these problems to give way to a pleasant smell.

The trick discussed in this article is to deodorize your toilet with a recipe based on cloves. In fact, it is possible to take advantage of its strong smell   to eliminate urine odors   and put an end to unpleasant smells. Here is in detail what you need to do to prepare your own natural air freshener.

Eliminate urine odors with cloves?

What you will need:

  • 10 nails
  • A 1 liter bottle of water
  • 15 teaspoons baking soda
  • A few drops of mint, lemon or lavender essential oil, depending on your choice

All you have to do is pour the entire amount of baking soda into the water bottle along with the 10 cloves. As for the essential oil,   you can add the one of your preference  . Shake the closed bottle to mix the ingredients well, open it, and then place it somewhere in the bathroom. You should also know that cloves are also a great way to keep food moths away from your cupboards.

Other methods to get rid of bad odors

There are also other tips and tricks that   help keep your bathroom consistently deodorized  . Between letting off steam and using natural products as formidable as cloves, there are other equally effective ingredients.

  • Essential oils

As with cloves, essential oils are used to mask unpleasant odors   while pleasantly scenting the room  . You can choose from several scents such as rosemary, lavender, lemongrass, mint or eucalyptus. Pour a few drops into a vaporizer spray filled with water and then spray the essential oil to clean the toilet atmosphere.

  • White vinegar

An excellent disinfectant, white vinegar   is also a notable deodorant  . Like bleach, which is best avoided, this is a product that can also be used to thoroughly clean your entire home.

To eliminate lingering odors, use a sponge soaked in the product to wipe it around the edges of your toilet. In addition to unclogging bacteria and mold,   the bad smell will disappear at the same time  . For dirt that you find quite difficult to remove, use a toilet brush to remove any traces. As for drying, prefer to use a microfiber cloth. Of course, this is a method that will come at the right time for all those washing machine, dishwasher, or cat litter odors.

  • Sodium bicarbonate

To deodorize with baking soda, simply sprinkle it into the bowl and let it take effect for about half an hour. Then,   scrub the edges and walls   with a toilet brush and at the same time remove any bad odors. It is a very effective disinfectant that can be used to clean more than one surface in the house.

  • Homemade air freshener tablets

Inexpensive deodorant tablets will allow you to eliminate bad odors by getting rid of the bacteria that infest the toilet bowl. For this you will need:

  • 1 lemon juice
  • A teaspoon of white vinegar
  • One cup of baking soda
  • A few drops of essential oil of your choice.
  • A teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide

To prepare your deodorant tablets, mix the ingredients to make capsules   and let them dry overnight.   As soon as a bad smell arises, you just have to throw a tablet into the toilet before flushing. The result is a pleasant smell and clearer pipes.

In addition,  ventilation is important to eliminate bad odors. You should ventilate your toilet or bathroom regularly by opening the window wide. If you don’t have one,   you can cool the bathroom with a fan to   eliminate musty odors.
