Food residue  , grease build-up, hair and dandruff  are the factors that cause clogged drains, depending on whether it is the kitchen or bathroom sink.

It is a profession with few incentives but a lot of demand, we could find ourselves waiting days before seeing him arrive or being forced to call  a rather expensive emergency service.

That’s why clogged pipes are a daily nuisance, especially because they can cause unpleasant odours. And to avoid this type of problem, we invite you to try this  very effective home remedy  to unblock pipes in a short time.

This is a simple solution that consists of  preparing an ecological detergent  with the ingredients at hand. It is a trick that represents an alternative to chemicals that are harmful to health and the environment: it frees the drain from obstructions,  disinfects it and deodorizes it, ridding it of bad odors.

 Trick to unclog the sink

Fast, safe and effective  , this natural remedy will definitely make your life easier. And to save money and time, there is nothing better than having  natural ingredients on hand.

To unclog the sink you will need the following ingredients:

  • ½ cup white vinegar,
  • ½ box of baking soda,
  • boiling water.

To begin the procedure, we must start by pouring the  baking soda  down the drain and then  pouring in the white vinegar  . The two products combined cause  a chemical reaction  that breaks down the clogged elements in the drain.

Then proceed  by sealing the drain opening  with a plug and wait 30 minutes before removing the plug. Finally,  pour boiling water over it to disintegrate the remains  . You will see that the water will begin to flow freely. If the obstruction is still present, you can  repeat the operation  a second time.

In addition to breaking down clogged drains, baking soda and vinegar clean and disinfect pipes,  eliminating bad odors.

If it is the siphon that is clogging the sink and causing it to remain clogged, with all kinds of remains, such as food scraps or grease build-up that blocks the passage of water,  it is essential to clean the dirt that is causing this obstruction.

To do this, it is necessary to disassemble the tube to remove all dirt. However, this operation may require the use of  gloves, glasses and rags for cleaning.

Once a bucket has been placed under the sink pipes, the lid must be loosened from the bottom. Once the water has run into the bucket, you can clean all these elements with  a degreasing soap diluted in water.

Once you have finished cleaning, you can reassemble the siphon and  let the water run for 2-3 minutes  to make sure the water is flowing normally or if there are any leaks.
