Biscocaffè: the cold cake that melts in your mouth, it’s delicious!

By liliaturcin5

Here is a cold dessert, melting and crunchy at the same time: the biscocaffè, a dessert based on dry biscuits, cocoa and obviously him, our beloved coffee.

Excellent for a boost of energy in the heat that still haunts us, enjoy it for breakfast, as a snack or at the end of a meal: it will always be very pleasant on the palate , even the most refined one.

We won’t hide from you, however, that it doesn’t belong on the list of light recipes, and yet, a slight from time to time fortifies the will and satisfies the gluttony.

What are you waiting for then? Get to work.

Curious to find out how to proceed? Let’s begin!

Biscocaffè: ingredients and preparation

For this recipe, get:

  • butter, 200 g
  • icing sugar , 200 g
  • eggs, 3 of which 1 whole and 2 yolks
  • dry biscuits , 500 g
  • amaro cocoa , 100 g
  • coffee, 1 cup
  • liqueur, to taste if desired

Line a plumcake mold with cellophane, this operation will make it very easy to extract your cake once it has firmed up.

As for the liqueur, if you like it, you choose the quantity according to your preferences, but remember that the alcohol will not evaporate because cooking is not foreseen. We at Non Solo di Riciclo recommend Marsala.

Prepare the coffee, pour it into a small bowl with the liqueur and keep it close at hand.

Soften the butter, transfer it to a bowl, add the icing sugar and the 3 egg yolks , then mix everything to obtain a well blended mixture.

Separately , whip the egg white until stiff, when it is swollen, add the cocoa too.

Add it to the egg, butter and sugar mixture , do it with delicate movements from bottom to top.

Quickly dip the biscuits in the coffee and make a first layer on the bottom of the pan. Fill it with the freshly made cream and alternate the layers until all the ingredients are used up. Place the tile in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Unmold, cut it and taste it… you will fall in love with it.

Enjoy your meal!
