We will make a delicious meat stew that melts like butter. This dish is perfect for those cool days when you are looking for a comforting meal full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion cut into thick pieces
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 600 g of meat to stew
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 glass of red wine
  • 200 g tomato puree
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
  • 1 liter of broth (meat or vegetable)
  • 3 carrots, roughly chopped
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 100 g of beans

Preparation

  1. Cut the onion into thick pieces and mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Season the pieces of meat with salt and pepper and dredge them in flour.
  3. Brown the meat in a pot with hot oil. Once browned, remove the meat and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic.
  5. I added the red wine and let it evaporate a little.
  6. Add the tomato puree and fresh herbs.
  7. Add the meat back to the pot and cover with the broth.
  8. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, roughly chop the carrots and peel the potatoes.
  10. I added the carrots and potatoes to the pot.
  11. Add more broth if necessary and bring to a boil.
  12. Add the beans and cook over low heat until the vegetables are tender, approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
  13. Serve the stew hot and enjoy its comforting flavor.

Tips:

  • For an even tastier stew, let the meat sit in the broth for a few hours before cooking.
  • You can accompany this dish with a good homemade bread to dip in the sauce.
