Starbucks style LEMON CAKE

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk

INSTRUCTIONS
Cream the butter with a cup of sugar, add the eggs and a tablespoon of lemon juice.
Add the flour, salt and baking powder. Then the milk.
Pour into a previously greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 175ºC for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool slightly and remove from the pan.
Mix the remaining sugar with the lemon juice, heat slightly until it can dissolve.
With a long toothpick, make holes all over the cake and pour the lemon mixture in with a spoon to rehydrate it.
Mix the powdered sugar with the egg white and lemon juice; use a fork to break up any lumps; add a little water if necessary to achieve a liquid consistency, but wait as you would with honey.
Pour over the cake and allow it to harden before serving.
