Orchid care made easy: How to successfully cultivate orchids in water

By Lesia

Introduction: With proper care, orchids will enchant you with their beautiful flowers, and at the sight of this splendor you will easily forget all the efforts you have put into caring for them.

To simplify this care process, you can use an unusual cultivation method: water.

Any container is suitable for growing orchids, but a transparent glass container or a pot is more suitable because it is easier to monitor the condition of the root system. Another important point is that the container should not be too deep.

When cultivating orchids in this way, water quality plays a crucial role. It is not recommended to use tap water as it can contain a large amount of harmful chemicals for these flowers. The best choice is rainwater or distilled water.

Make sure the water level does not fall below the root system.

The water should be changed once a week, the container should be cleaned once a month, as well as the roots, which should be left to dry for about 6 minutes.

Do not be afraid to grow orchids without substrate, because in nature they grow on trees.
