By Lesia

How to polish your floor to perfection? Just with natural remedies and everyone will want to take advantage of this easy and inexpensive method.

Natural remedies  , those from grandma and those found in the pantry, can be used for any type of domestic use, even for cleaning and polishing the floor. Many times stains and lines can ruin the flooring of various environments, and that is precisely why we must resort to using completely natural remedies. Forget about floor cleaning products rich in additives and preservatives, because with these remedies you can have a  very shiny floor from the first pass.

Shiny and clean floors: what natural ingredients should you use?

The floor is one of the areas of the house that is often underestimated in terms of hygiene. Germs and bacteria are carried on the soles of shoes, through the various food remains that fall on the floor, to our four-legged friends who shed hair and drool.

To always have a clean, fragrant and sanitized surface, you just need to use some natural remedies combined with other products. This mixture can be used with any type of floor, especially when you want to clean it thoroughly and restore its shiny,  newly laid patina.

The ingredients are:

  • 2 liters of cold water
  • 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide
  • Baking soda – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Floor detergent
  • Dishes soap

Hydrogen peroxide is essential  for removing stains, while baking soda sanitizes while polishing the surface.

Procedure and advice

The first thing we should do is pour two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide onto the  dry floor  , then immediately use a soft-bristled broom. This movement will allow you to remove all the dirt embedded in the floor in two simple steps.

Immediately after,  take a bucket and fill it  with two liters of cold water, then add a little floor detergent (with your favorite scent), a small amount of dishwashing liquid and finally two tablespoons of baking soda. Wait a few minutes and then take the classic floor rag, dipping it in water rich in the newly created substance.

Mop the floors and do even more passes. The  three ingredients  together perform the action of hydrogen peroxide to clean, sanitize, perfume and polish the surface.

Leave it to act and then do a  second quick wipe  , always with the same soaked cloth. Leave it to act again for five minutes.

Now take some clean water and another cloth to rinse the floor and remove all traces of the substance used for cleaning. In summer you can let the floor dry naturally, while in winter you can use a dry cloth to  remove water and moisture in one go.

You can use this mixture once a week and it will be wonderful to see your floor clean and shiny. This method is no longer a secret and  everyone will want to know about it.
