How to prepare Sweet Buns

To prepare these delicious buns, you will need:

Ingredients

-320 ml of milk
-2 eggs
-2 tablespoons of sugar
-5 grams of dry yeast
-600 grams of flour
-1 teaspoon of salt
-30 grams of melted butter

Preparation

  1. Start by heating the milk a little until it is lukewarm. You can do it in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add the sugar. Continue beating until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Add the dry yeast to the warm milk and stir until it is completely dissolved. Let it sit for a few minutes until it starts to bubble.
  4. Pour the milk with the yeast over the egg and sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Add the flour and salt to the mixture and begin to knead. When the dough is taking shape, add the melted butter and continue kneading until you obtain a soft and elastic dough.
  6. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Formation of the Buns and baking

  1. After resting, knead the dough again on a floured surface. Then, divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
  2. Take each portion of dough and form balls with your hands.
  3. Cover them and let them rest for 15 minutes. After this time, she takes some of the buns, stretch them with a rolling pin, giving them an elongated shape and then roll them up. Repeat the operation with each of them.
  4. Put them on a previously greased baking tray and brush them with a little oil. We let it rest again for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Place the buns in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  7. Once baked, remove the sweet buns from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. You can enjoy them alone or with your choice of jam, honey or just a little butter.
