Also, if you want to clean the smell from your container,   fill a third of the thermos with hot water to which you will need to add a tablespoon of baking soda  . If you cannot do this, take an old toothbrush and clean the seal and the entire lid.

There is one last step to say goodbye to the persistent smell of coffee forever. After   thoroughly cleaning your thermos  , let it dry in the sun. The latter will eliminate all odors, whether coffee or stale. A practical method to find a thermos like new. So, do not hesitate to let your thermos dry for several hours until it is completely dry and clean. The sun’s rays will take an active part in eliminating the persistent smell of coffee.
