Whether it’s due to moisture, a drain or other factors,  the problem of bad smells in the bathroom is often difficult to eradicate  . Surely, to definitively solve the problem of a smelly bathroom, it is necessary to understand what causes it. It may be a clogged drain, the presence of invisible mold, a stagnation in the shower drain or wet rags or towels that ended up behind a piece of furniture. Whatever the cause, whether it can be solved or not,  there is a very useful method to counteract the bad smell and leave your bathroom smelling fresh  . All this is possible without the use of sprays or chemicals, but  with a very simple bottle  . Let’s see how to do it.

How to naturally eliminate bad odors in the bathroom

The essential tool for eradicating bad smells in the bathroom at home is, as already mentioned, a jar. Obviously,  it will not be enough to place it empty to solve your problems  . In fact, you will have to get some ingredients for it to work. First you can use bay leaves that will act in the jar.

All you need are 4 fresh bay leaves and some water. All you have to do is  put the water in a saucepan, add the bay leaves and bring everything to a boil  . Once it reaches boiling point, add a teaspoon of baking soda, mix well and turn off the stove.

Let the mixture cool for a while, pour it into the jar and place the jar on a piece of furniture in the bathroom so that  the bay leaves act as a perfume  and the baking soda as a deodorant.

Another excellent solution that can always be implemented with the jar is  the use of essential oils  , always very useful for perfuming domestic environments, and coarse salt.

In this case, it will not be necessary to boil the water. In fact,  it will be enough to fill the jar with coarse salt  , taking care to alternate it with a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Salt is a fundamental ingredient, since in addition to absorbing humidity, it retains odors and if you add essential oils it will help you keep the bathroom scented for a long time.
