Milk and chocolate squares: the no-bake dessert that will win you over

By liliaturcin5

They are delicious milk and chocolate squares, but they look like small snacks to munch on when the water rises and we are seized by an irrepressible desire for sweetness.

They are made without an oven, with powdered milk and biscuits and have all the flavor of our childhood. A crunchy coating, enriched by the presence of cashew nuts, a soft and delicious interior, these are the characteristics that distinguish this delicacy.

Choose the biscuits you prefer, even vary from time to time to always enjoy different sensations.

They are goodies to present to your friends for an afternoon get-together, to offer to the little ones of the house to reward and spoil them, to share with your partner in front of a memorable film.

If food is really a consolation, with these sweets you will feel at peace with the world for how melting and inviting they are!

What are you waiting for then? Get to work, let’s get started!

Milk and chocolate squares: ingredients and preparation

For this recipe, get:

  • 125 g of powdered milk
  • 100ml of hot water
  • 6 Oreos (can use any brand)
  • 150 grams of chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons cashews or any kind of nut.

Put the powdered milk in a non-stick saucepan, add the hot water and mix everything over low heat to obtain a well-blended liquid.

Chop the biscuits with a knife and place them in a bowl.

When the milk begins to boil and thicken, turn off the gas and add the biscuits. Incorporate them carefully, then transfer the dough onto a sheet of baking paper brushed with a drizzle of oil.

Give it a rectangular shape, compact and wrap it all up. Place it in the freezer for about 20/30 minutes.

After this time, take it back and cut it into squares.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Chop the cashews in the kitchen mixer, then add them to the chocolate and mix. Immerse your squares in this coulisse, carefully cover the entire surface and put them to harden on a wire rack.

Wait for the coating to harden, then enjoy! Store them in a cool, dry place, closed in an airtight jar.
