Put the zucchini raw and form layers: the invisible cake is crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside!
Savory pies are a marvel that everyone likes, big and small. Below we offer you a recipe that we hope will meet your taste. It is made with zucchini and is crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
Let’s see how it prepares.
Layer the zucchini and bake: the invisible cake is crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside!
The ingredients
We need to:
50 g of flour
8 g of yeast for savory pies
2 courgettes
50 ml of milk
two eggs
40 g of pecorino cheese
60 g of Parmesan
Pepper to taste
two tablespoons of olive oil
Salt to taste
four slices of cooked ham
six thin slices of scamorza
a rectangular roll of puff pastry
The preparation
The first thing is to combine the cheeses, eggs and oil in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper and then mix everything with a fork. Obtained a uniform mixture, add the yeast and flour and then start mixing again.
At this point we take the courgettes, wash them and cut them into slices with the help of a mandolin.
We give shape to our rustic
Now we combine our good zucchini rounds with the above mixture and mix well with a spatula, but slowly, without forcing too much.
Let’s cook the rustic
Now let’s get our hands on a rectangular cake pan and fit our puff pastry inside (together with its baking paper). We’re going to prick it with a fork and then we’ll pour half of our dough on it. Then we will put the slices of ham and the scamorza and then we will pour the other half of the mixture.

Level everything, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and then place in a preheated and ventilated oven: cooking must take place at 180 degrees for thirty, thirty-five minutes.
When our tasty rustic has taken on a nice browning, we let it cool a little and then serve it on the table.
Good job, have fun and bon appetit!
