Few know all the benefits of pumpkin seeds

By Lesia

Health tips on the use of pumpkin seeds, what they are for and when and how we should take this medicinal plant.

Pumpkin or Cucurbita pepo is an annual herbaceous plant, with long stems, whose fruit is a huge fleshy berry – quite famous – and whose spongy pulp hides the seeds that we are going to talk about today.
Pumpkins have numerous properties and the first to observe them were the Menomini, a native tribe of North America.

Let us remember that pumpkin was one of the first vegetables brought from America and whose seeds have long been used for their vermifuge or anthelmintic properties. That is, to expel intestinal parasites such as tapeworms from our body.

As for its indications, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approves the traditional use of pumpkin seeds to treat urinary discomfort associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia and unstable bladder.
Likewise, the European Commission also approves its use in intestinal parasitosis.
As for the way of using pumpkin seeds, both crushed seeds and other galenic preparations available for use in pharmacies can be used.
