Bread (soft and crispy) – simply delicious

Ingredients

500 g wheat flour type 405
1/2 cube of yeast or 1 packet of dry yeast
1/2 tsp honey
330 ml water, lukewarm
1/2 tsp salt
some pepper, white
flour for working

preparation

Put the flour in a bowl, crumble the yeast on top. Add the honey, salt and pepper (do not put the salt directly on the yeast), then add the water, mix everything by hand and then knead. If the dough is too wet or sticks between your fingers, you can flour your hands a little.

When the ingredients have combined, remove the dough from the bowl and continue kneading on a floured work surface until you feel that everything has come together nicely. Put the dough back in the bowl and let it rest for 1 hour covered with a damp cloth.

Then the dough can be processed further. I form 4 small loaves of bread, which I score on top (because they will rise a bit in the oven and it looks nicer then). Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approx. 1/2 hour. The duration may vary depending on the oven, etc.
