Potato tortilla: ready in less than 30 minutes!

The tortilla de patatas or Spanish tortilla is a classic Spanish dish made with potatoes, onions and eggs. In Spain, it is often simply called “tortilla”. It is an essential dish of Spanish cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 3 potatoes
  • Vegetable oil
  • 5 eggs
  • Sel

Preparation

  1. Cut the onion and the potatoes into rings. Heat the pan with plenty of oil and sauté the onion and potatoes until they flake. Drain potatoes and onion and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, add the eggs, season with salt and whisk. Add the onion and potato mixture and mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the saucepan and cook for five minutes. Flip the tortilla and cook the other side.
