A delicious simple and economical popular egg kefta tagine

A delicious tagine kefta with popular eggs simple and economical, to enjoy with a good homemade bread.

Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 4 very red and juicy tomatoes
  • 1 small bunch of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 glass of olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. In a tajine, heat a little oil and brown half the chopped onion. Add the chopped tomatoes, half the chopped parsley, ginger, pepper, cumin and paprika. Cook for 15 minutes on a low boil.
  2. In a salad bowl, knead the minced meat with the rest of the minced onion, the cumin and the rest of the chopped parsley. Salt, pepper.
  3. Add a glass and a half of water to the tagine. Cover and cook for another 15 mins.
  4. Take the bowl of meat and lightly wet your hands.
  5. Shape kefta balls between your hands, the size of a golf ball. Arrange them gradually in the casserole dish, in the sauce. Above all, do not mix and cook for 10 minutes to freeze the meatballs.
  6. When the meat is cooked and the sauce is well reduced, add the eggs and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve it in a hot tagine dish. You can prepare it in advance to reheat it at the last moment.
