Grandma’s cake: the snack that I carry in my heart! Very soft!

Today’s recipe is for a really soft and delicious dessert that my grandmother used to make and that certainly deserves to be rediscovered.

Try the softest cake in the world: grandma’s recipe!

The ingredients

Three eggs; 8 gr. vanilla sugar; 100 g. sugar; 120ml. milk; 120ml. sunflower oil; 160 g. of double zero flour; 12 gr. of baking powder; 50ml. of lemon juice; just enough peach jam or whatever you like.

The preparation

The first thing is to break three eggs into a big bowl. Then we pour 100 grams of granulated sugar and 8 of vanilla sugar over it, after which we mix with an electric whisk until we obtain a light-colored compound with a velvety consistency.

Still mixing, we also add 120 milliliters of sunflower seed oil and the same amount of milk, then let the whisk go for a few more tens of seconds. At this point we also add the double zero flour and 12 grams of baking powder, after which we put the electric mixer back in motion.

Now we abandon the electric whisk for a hand one and add 50 milliliters of lemon juice to the mixture and then mix.

Now we get ourselves a square pan of about 20 centimeters on the side and grease it with butter. So we lightly flour it and then we pour in the mixture that we have been preparing so far.

Now put everything in a preheated convection oven: at 200 degrees for 25 minutes.

After 25 minutes, we turn the mold upside down and spread some jam on the surface of the cake, the one we prefer. In our case it is peaches.

The final touch will be a generous sprinkling of powdered sugar.

As you can see, it is basically a very simple recipe, but also very fragrant and satisfying.
