How to make the phalanx flower and smell the whole house

By liliaturcin5

The phalanx , common name of Chlorophytum comosum , is one of the most popular and widespread houseplants, due to its tropical appearance and the simplicity of its care.

Although it is a very resistant plant, it is necessary to follow specific precautions if you want to make it flourish and make it even more beautiful and particular.

Below we list the basic care of the phalanx and we list some suggestions to make it flourish abundantly.

Location of the plant

It is important to place the plant in a place with plenty of sunlight, but it must be protected from direct sunlight which can damage the leaves, especially during summer.

It must also be protected from extreme temperatures: too cold or too hot can permanently damage the plant.

Topsoil

Make sure the phalanx soil is well drained to avoid water stagnation which can cause the plant to rot.

Irrigation

During spring and summer it is best to water the plant twice a week, while in winter it should be done every 10 days.

The soil of the phalanx must always be moist but water stagnation must be avoided. Every now and then you can spray room temperature water directly on the leaves.

If the leaves become flabby and fall off easily, the plant is probably getting too much water. If, on the other hand, the tips of the leaves begin to dry out and turn brown, you need to add more water.

Phalanx flowering is a natural process that occurs only when the plant is cared for correctly. Following the advice described above, the phalanx should produce many flowers.
