You don’t necessarily need to use flour, eggs and sugar to prepare biscuits | I use apples, oats and dried fruit!

For a delicious snack, to be enjoyed between meals, with apple biscuits there will be no danger that you will regret it. In fact, they are tasty and healthy enough to even preserve the diet, because they are totally free of sugar, flour and eggs, so a few biscuits are also allowed on a diet.

Surely, they will appeal equally to both adults and children who will no longer be able to do without them. Trust me, everyone will love them and will undoubtedly much prefer them to packaged products.

Among other things, thanks to their scent (which will spread throughout the house) they will whet your sweet tooth already during cooking, making you salivate and want to taste them. Furthermore, preparing them is really very easy, then keep in mind that the times are very short. Basically, they are perfect in every way and you will love them immensely!
Are you curious enough? Great, then let’s get started.

The recipe for apple, dried fruit and oatmeal biscuits: they are very tasty!

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 25 minutes
Servings: 15 large biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) of rolled oats
  • 240 g of apple puree
  • 50 g of raisins
  • 50 gr of coarsely chopped almonds
  • 50 g of coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 50 g of dried blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (any other oil is fine)
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Preparation

  1. To start put the coarsely chopped walnuts and almonds in a bowl, add the dried cranberries, raisins and oatmeal and mix with a spatula.
  2. Now peel the apples, cut them in quarters, remove the core, place them in a container with high sides, add the lemon juice and mix them with an immersion blender to obtain a smooth puree .
  3. Now pour the apple puree into the bowl with the other ingredients, mix well with the spatula to incorporate everything, incorporate the oil, stir and transfer the mixture to the refrigerator, where you will leave it to rest for 30 minutes .
  4. After this period of time, take the mixture again, take a spoonful at a time, shape with your hands to obtain thin disks and place them in a dripping pan lined with special paper.
  5. Finally put them to cook in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at a temperature of 160°C , at the end you just have to serve them.
