Light English Muffins with WW Yogurt: The Recipe is Easy

Today I present to you English muffins or English Muffins a homemade recipe for small, soft and light round breads with a texture similar to mini Batbout served for breakfast or Sunday brunch topped with scrambled egg drizzled with honey or syrup maple is truly a delight.

Ingredients 

  • 250g of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 50 g of lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 125 g of 0% yogurt
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation 

  1. In a salad bowl put the flour, yeast, yogurt, water, olive oil and salt then mix.
  2. Then knead until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 cm then cut out small discs of 7 to 8 cm.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan then cook the muffins for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
  5. Enjoy your light English muffins with yogurt, in a sweet version with jam or in a savory version with scrambled eggs, cream cheese and smoked salmon.
