Tuna and potato burger, a tasty and light second course with only 120 calories!

Hamburgers have been a food that has entered the lives of Italians by force for several years now . Of German origin , precisely Hamburg, hamburgers have exploded in popularity in the United States , most likely brought by the Germans who emigrated to America. But while before they absolutely had to be made of beef , today they come in all colors, so to speak.

The ones we offer you today are a healthy and even dietetic food, made up of tuna and potatoes , very simple to prepare and quick to cook. The tuna and potato burgers will make everyone happy, even children , try to believe.

Tuna and potato burger, a delicious and light recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 medium sized potatoes
  • 160 grams of tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • parsley to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons flour (or more, if needed)

Procedure

  1. Wash the potatoes and cook them in lightly salted boiling water for an hour.
  2. Turn on the oven and let it heat up to 180°C.
  3. Let them cool slightly, just so you can handle them to peel them.
  4. Mash the potatoes with a fork or a potato masher, if you prefer.
  5. Add the well crumbled tuna.
  6. Also add two eggs, chopped parsley, salt, pepper if desired, three tablespoons of corn starch.
  7. Mix carefully, then add two or three tablespoons of flour, depending on how you feel the consistency of the dough increase, it shouldn’t be too much (a tip so you don’t have to add too much flour, prepare the boiled potatoes the day before, mash them and keep them in the fridge, the next day their typical humidity will be much lower).
  8. With the prepared mixture, make hamburgers, compacting them well in your hands, then roll them in the breadcrumbs.
  9. Arrange the burgers thus prepared on the pan lined with parchment paper.
  10. Cook for 15 minutes in a preheated oven , then turn to the other side and cook another five to ten minutes, depending on the power of your oven.
  11. Remove and serve hot, but they are also good warm.
