Toothpaste in the Toilet Bowl, Why, What Will Happen Next?

By liliaturcin5

In toilet tanks, you can find truly surprising things. We can see, for example, bricks or plastic bottles to save water or white vinegar which is used for cleaning. But in some homes the tank can hide even more amazing things.

To save some effort on cleaning this area but above all to keep the toilet fresh for a long time, you can put a tube of toothpaste in the tank.

Folk craftsmen, dropping mint paste into a tank, have three goals: to get rid of unpleasant odors in the toilet; clean the toilet surface without touching it or the brush; save on a sanitizer and even, possibly, a cleaning product.

Ingredients

  • A tube of mint toothpaste
  • A needle, a thumbtack or a pin

Instructions

  1. First of all, buy the toothpaste in anticipation. Above all, choose the cheapest one you find in the supermarket… No need to opt for a brand for the use you are going to make of it!
  2. Then make holes all over the surface of the tube. The idea is to make lots of holes or use a thumbtack to make bigger holes to make sure the trick will work well.
  3. Then place the tube in the tank. It will need to be renewed approximately every month. After a certain time, you will no longer have the clean, fresh and minty effect, a sign that you need to replace the tube!
