How to Deep Clean Toilets Naturally, Without Using Other Products

By liliaturcin5

Over time, scale can build up at the bottom of the toilet. Indeed, as the water permanently stagnates, the bottom of the white bowl becomes covered with limescale and other not very hygienic deposits. If not treated in time, scale turns into black spots that are very unpleasant to look at, but also very difficult to clean. Fortunately, there is a trick to getting your toilet white again.

CLEANING TOILETS WITH CITRIC ACID

Entirely biodegradable, natural and much less expensive than the chemical (and dangerous) cleaning products that can be found in supermarkets, citric acid is one of those essential products for smart cleaning! Rightly so, since this acid naturally present in lemon has powerful cleaning, degreasing, anti-stain, antioxidant and anti-scale properties. This is why in the house or in the garden it is often used to dissolve rust and limescale.

If you want to make your toilet shine using citric acid, here’s how to do it:

  • Start by heating half a liter of water in a saucepan, to which you will add four tablespoons of citric acid.
  • Use this mixture to clean your toilet, scrubbing with a toilet brush. Miracle: all the encrusted dirt and scale residue are now just a distant memory!
  • Good to know: when using citric acid, always start by protecting your hands by putting on a pair of household gloves. Indeed, this product, although natural, can be irritating to the skin.
