Salt is a cleaning product that can be used to clean burnt pots and pans, but also to clean the sink or bathroom. Free of chemicals, this ingredient is a grandma’s trick that restores all the shine to your pans. Salt is also one of nature’s most effective tricks for removing stubborn stains and burn marks from stainless steel and cast iron pots and pans. However, salt should not be used on non-stick pans. To perform this trick, pour a liter of warm water into the burnt pan and then add 3 tablespoons of salt. Leave to soak for 10 minutes then bring the water to the boil. When the water boils, simmer for 15 minutes over low heat. Then all you have to do is rub with a sponge to remove the most resistant residues.

Tip 3: Boiling water and dish soap to make your pans sparkle

Dish soap has many uses. To effectively degrease cookware, boiling water and dish soap can be very effective. Simply pour water into a saucepan and then add 3 tablespoons of dish soap. Bring the liquid to the boil and then simmer for 15 minutes. You can also replace dish soap with dishwasher tablets. Dish soap and tablets contain enzymes designed to remove stubborn stains. After boiling the water in the pan, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a while. Then, you just need to scrub with a sponge to remove traces.
