Homemade insecticide to kill flies, cockroaches and mosquitoes

Generally, we all fight against pests that invade the home and appear at different times of the year. For example, in the summer unpleasant insects such as flies and mosquitoes arrive, but unfortunately there are many others depending on the area where we live.

In this article we will see  2 100% organic powerful insecticide recipes,  with only ingredients that we already have at home and very easy to prepare.

Let’s learn how to make this very effective homemade insecticide that will help us combat these annoying pests:

1. Garlic alcohol

Ingredients:

  • 5 cloves of Garlic (per half liter of solution)
  • Alcohol (70º to 90º)
  • 1 drop of neutral detergent
  • 1 Spray bottle

Let’s remember, the mixture must be made up of 50% water and 50% alcohol.

We prepare and apply:

  1. To begin, cut the garlic cloves and place them in a container with alcohol.
  2. Then, we left it there to rest for 1 whole day.
  3. The next day, we add water and neutral detergent.
  4. Next, we mix well and pour it into a spray bottle.
  5. To apply it, it is recommended to spray the homemade insecticide on the leaves and stems.

Important:  It is a product that lasts for several days and can even be kept outside the refrigerator, but always protected from light, preferably.

We already have it ready to use, it is not harmful to pets, it is economical and it gives us excellent results in our goal of fighting pests!

2. Alcohol, mothballs and cloves

Ingredients:

  • 30 gr. of Naphthalene
  • 100 ml. Detergent or liquid soap
  • 1oo ml. of Alcohol
  • 1 cup of alcohol vinegar
  • 200 ml. of water
  • 20 Cloves

Optional:  A suggestion is if we wish to add coffee to the recipe, although cloves are more powerful.

Preparation and application:

  1. First of all, we place the mothballs, the liquid soap or detergent, as well as the alcohol, the alcohol vinegar in a container and mix everything.
  2. We continue with the addition of water and finally, the cloves.
  3. We stir and let it rest for a while.
  4. To finish, we transfer it to a spray bottle, shake it a little more and spray it in the most prone areas where mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches are.

Another recommendation:

  1. We start by covering a plate with aluminum foil and add the ground coffee on top.
  2. A recommendation is to prepare this homemade method in a cool, dry place.
  3. We are going to place it on a table and out of the reach of children and animals, to begin to slowly burn the coffee residue, as we would do with incense.
  4. You can even burn the coffee first and then transfer it to a metal object or a can.
  5. Finally, we light the fire and the smoke will spread throughout the area as a good repellent for insects.
