The place in the house where you should never put flowers. that’s why they dry

By liliaturcin5

Houseplants are an asset to the home. In addition to decorating interior spaces, certain plants also have decontaminating and purifying properties. To care for them and promote their growth and flowering, it is important to know their growing conditions. In fact, plants do not have the same needs for water and light. That said, to prevent your flowering plants from drying out, find out where in the house they should not be placed.

To care for your flowering plants, and prevent them from drying out, it is important to take into account certain factors, such as their location but also their need for water and light.

What is the place in the house where flowering plants should not be placed to prevent them from drying out?

Choosing the location of flowering houseplants   depends on their need for light.  In fact, some plants do not tolerate exposure to direct sunlight and therefore need a semi-shaded location. Their foliage may burn and dry out   if you place them in bright sunlight,   even if you water them regularly. To know if your flowering plant is in the right place or not, you just have to pay attention to the condition of the foliage. If the edges of the leaves begin to discolor and turn brown, then become dry and brittle,   the foliage has been burned,   particularly by direct sunlight. Also avoid putting your flowers  that do not appreciate bright sunlight on the balcony,   as they may be exposed to the sun’s rays all day.

In addition to that, some plants may be sensitive to dry environments that dry out their foliage. In this case, it is best   to move flowering plants away from heat sources,   such as the radiator. Other plants, on the other hand, fear drafts that cause them to lose moisture   and, consequently, cause their leaves to fall.   In this case, avoid keeping your flowering plants near open windows or doors. Additionally, even flowering plants that are not very hardy, that do not tolerate cold or frost,   should be kept away from windows  as they could suffer thermal shock, especially when temperatures begin to drop.

What other reason explains the drying out of flowering plants?

Incorrect location is not the only culprit for flowering plants drying out, other factors can be blamed, such as insufficient watering of plants.

When a plant is not watered enough,   its leaves turn brown or yellow   and also become brittle. In severe drought,   even the stems can be damaged.   To revive your dry plant,   soak the pot in a container of water for about 10 minutes. Then take it out and let it drain. Please note that it is important that your pot has   drainage holes   to promote water flow. It is also important, before watering your plant,   to check whether it needs watering  or not, because too much water can be more fatal for the plant   than insufficient watering.  In fact, it is difficult to save a plant that is overwatered, because the roots tend to rot and become mushy. To prevent a plant from being overwatered, carefully remove it from the pot   and remove moist soil from the roots.   Then, using pruning shears, remove soft, rotten roots and damaged stems, and then replant your plant in a new pot, with a fresh, new substrate.

Tip:   To prevent the foliage of your flowering plant from burning, avoid spraying water on its leaves   when it is exposed to the sun,   or when you are going to put your plant in the sun, since water droplets can cause burns upon contact with the sun rays

That being said, it is important to know where to place your flowers as it allows them to benefit from the light, but without drying out the foliage.
