Ingredients

  • 450 g of lean ground beef
  • 250 ml of vegetable broth (meat is also good)
  • 140 gr of frozen peas
  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or other
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 1 diced carrot
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 clove of grated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon of thyme
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • As much as you like chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Just enough black pepper
  • Just enough salt

Preparation

  1. First, pour the oil into a non-stick pan, add the onion, fry it over medium heat for 2-3 minutes , add the carrot and minced meat and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat .
  2. Now add the peas, the tomato, the salt, the pepper, the chilli pepper, the thyme, the dried parsley, the broth and the garlic, mix well, incorporate the flour, stir and cook for a further 2 minutes over low heat .
  3. Now turn off the stove, cover the meat with a lid and keep it aside for a moment, while it cools down in the meantime.
  4. At this point, peel the potatoes, slice them, take the meat, transfer it to a round ceramic saucepan, level it, put the potatoes on it, season with salt and drizzle with a drizzle of olive oil.
  5. Finally, cook in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes at a temperature of 190°C , at the end, if you like, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
