Banana peels, never throw them away: put them in a bottle of water and always use them that way!

By liliaturcin5

You are also probably one of those who throw  banana peels   into organic waste. Nothing could be further from the truth: banana peels   can be recycled and   reused for a variety of purposes. They are excellent as   fertilizer   for plants   and also have   healing properties for our skin and hair.

These are the most common and best-known (re)uses. However, there is another, less known but very useful. Below we explain what it is.

Never throw away banana peels: they are very precious!

Banana peels   are a valuable source of   vitamins and minerals,   mainly   magnesium and potassium.  They are useful for skin and hair (they are among the most common ingredients in masks,   shampoos,   conditioners and creams) and for   fertilizing plants, which become  stronger, more vigorous and more beautiful   .

It is therefore wrong to throw them in the trash since these are the elements that can actually put back into circulation in various ways. Here’s something you probably don’t know: read below to find out what it is.

Banana peels, put in a bottle of water and use like that!

Honestly, you’ve never   thought about banana peels to keep away annoying mosquitoes and insects, have you?  And yet they are also ideal for this purpose, especially in spring and summer. Just use the   at-home method  we recommend.

Obtain the   following ingredients:

  • water   400 ml;
  • 200 ml of white wine vinegar   or   apple cider vinegar   ;
  • sugar   200 grams;
  • banana   1 peel;
  • Water bottle   with a capacity of 2 liters.

Cut   the plastic bottle in half with scissors or a craft knife.  In a bowl,   combine   the water, vinegar and sugar   , then mix gently until well combined. Pour the resulting mixture into half of the plastic bottle and   place the   peel of a banana inside.  Place the bottle in corners of the house that are particularly popular with insects, who cannot stand the smell but are attracted by the sugar present. Remember to replace the mixture every other day.

In this way,  without chemical repellents and at zero cost,  you will keep away    flies, mosquitoes and all those annoying insects that usually annoy us during the hottest months of the year. We must never forget that chemicals are not only expensive, but they also harm the environment and the people who live in it.  The DIY method  that we have just proposed    is completely natural and safe.  All you have to do is try it and see for yourself how effective it is. Do you think so too?
