By liliaturcin5

You can always have fresh mint at home. Here’s how to have a thriving plant: put it in this very spot.

Lush Mint

Mint is a very popular aromatic plant widely used in cooking  . Its intense and fresh flavor makes it one of the most popular herbs, especially in summer. It often accompanies salads, hot dishes and certain desserts but also drinks. However, it also has other purposes, such as deodorizing the house and being used for cleaning.

Its properties are varied and are very beneficial  . Mint helps digestion and above all helps improve breath freshness. It also has excellent antibacterial action and also affects the respiratory system. This is precisely why it should always be available.

It’s always good to stock up so you always have some on hand, but it will eventually wilt. Instead,  you can think about growing it, this way you will always have it available and you can do it both in pots and in the garden  . Below we will see how to do it and all the useful tips.

Planting mint: that’s the good point

As we said, planting mint is quite simple and can be done both in pots and in the garden  . The important thing, however, is that this is a very specific point. This location must have soil that is very rich in nutrients  . This is what will allow the mint to hold and become healthy and lush.

After understanding that rich soil is necessary, you can plant it both in pots and in the garden  . In fact, it will be enough to put the right soil inside the pot to obtain the same result. To plant your mint plant in a pot and place it on the balcony or windowsill, here’s what you need.

You will first need a vase of at least 45 centimeters to devote entirely to it  . You can use seeds or a cutting. This last method is very simple and quick compared to seeds and is to be preferred. In fact, all you have to do is root the cutting in water and then plant it. Start growing mint in spring.

So now you have your jar of mint and you will have to wait a bit so that it doesn’t get more and more little by little.  Remember to expose it to the sun and always keep the soil moist.  Particularly young plants suffer from drought and may die. But now let’s see how to plant it in the garden.

Likewise, you can also plant mint in your garden.  Choose a corner that is large enough and not very good.  Be sure to enrich the soil, then proceed by planting either with seeds or cuttings. In  this case, being outdoors, you can cover the plant with leaves on cold and rainy days,  although it is advisable to always plant it in spring when temperatures are warmer.

Another important factor is fertilizer.  It is also a fundamental stage for the mind because it promotes its development.  You can opt for natural fertilizers  like vegetable cooking water, coffee grounds, egg shells, milk and many others.
