Lungwort for the whole family 

Celebrate resurrection! – that takes priority over everything else today! The joy of Easter should make hearts bright and happy so that joy and peace can come! With this in mind, a blessed Easter everyone! But in nature it is now time to resurrect. In the forests and floodplains we can gradually discover lungwort (Pulmonaria officinalis). As soon as the different colored flowers form, the soil becomes a bit more colorful. This medicinal plant belongs to the roughleaf plant family and is found throughout Europe. Silicic acid in particular is stored in the growing parts. There are also tannins, tannic acids and saponins as well as mucilage and a high amount of flavonoids. In terms of its effectiveness, lungwort primarily supports the respiratory tract. However, the range of good effects that come from this plant is even broader. Inflammation of the kidneys, intestines or bladder can occur, for example. B. It can be beneficial to use lungwort concomitantly. The prerequisite for this is compatibility with any prescribed medications or medically directed therapies. If you have hemorrhoids, it is also beneficial to make a tea from the dried drug and drink it, as well as if you have skin blemishes. In general, a tea with lungwort can be placed on the family table even if there are no physical complaints and can be enjoyed at Easter.

Tea for the spring season

Pour 1/4 liter of boiling water over 2 teaspoons of dried and chopped lungwort leaves and flowers. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes. Then strain and drink the tea in sips. Maybe add some honey or lemon juice. Lungwort can also be added to tea blends. Every now and then, brew the tea for yourself or serve it to the whole family. This is good for the entire organism and strengthens its immune system.
