Spanish Apple Pie: prepare it without an oven

By liliaturcin5

This Spanish apple pie prepares and bakes in less than 20 minutes. It’s perfect, therefore, when a peckish bite takes you by surprise and you don’t want to give in to the temptation to munch on some packaged, unhealthy and industrial snacks. To make it you need a few ingredients, all easy to find, but above all genuine. It gives a full of sweetness and energy, without weighing you down and, which is not negligible in this historical period, it does not require the use of the oven, with all due respect to the expenses on the bill.

Offer it to the little ones at home, you will give them a still warm and enveloping cuddle, when they return from school, for a snack that will repay them for the hard work they have done on their desks.

At the end of the meal, it ensures a final with a bang: its intense taste, the caramel that covers it and the soft and moist consistency, will make your taste buds and those you love vibrate.

What are you waiting for then? Get to work, let’s get started!

Spanish Apple Pie: ingredients and preparation

For this recipe, get:

  • 50 g of butter
  • 20 ml of sunflower oil
  • 50 g of white sugar (to caramelize the apples)
  • 3 melee “Golden”.
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 75 g of white sugar
  • 60ml of milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 120g of wheat flour
  • 6 g baking powder or baking powder

First wash the apples, dry them and peel them, then cut them into rather thick slices and remove the core.

In a non-stick pan, put the butter and sugar, cook over high heat to caramelise. Stir with the spatula and when the liquid is homogeneous, dip the apples, uniform to distribute the caramel well and cook over low heat until golden brown.

In a large and capacious bowl, break the eggs, add the sugar and work with the hand whisk to dissolve the grains. Without ceasing to mix, slowly add the oil and milk and the vanilla.

Now incorporate the flour and baking powder, sifting them directly into the bowl.

Let them absorb well, turning with a whisk and when the dough is well bound, transfer it to the pan on the apples.

Insert the lid and cook. It will take you about a quarter of an hour.

Before turning off the stove, do the toothpick test: if it comes out dry, your dessert is ready.

Turn it over on a serving plate and serve.
