The term mother-in-law’s tongue can be mistakenly considered. In fact, when referring to mother-in-law’s language, some might immediately think of some cookies. Actually, the term can also be used to refer to Sanseveria, a plant that is back in fashion in Italian homes. After all, the leaves that make up  Sanseveria  look like long yellow tongues, dotted with stripes of green or lighter yellow. Sanseveria is the scientific name, while lingua di mother-in-law is the one used in common slang.

The success of Sanseveria is due to its ease of cultivation, not only because it is very beautiful and decorative. In addition, it also has qualities that should not be underestimated: it purifies the air, providing oxygen and purifying the environment.
