Young nettle syrup without boiling: Elixir that is under your nose in spring!

By Lilia

Lemon nettle syrup is pleasantly refreshing and you will definitely like it.

In addition to being very tasty, it is completely preservative-free.

Therefore, it is much healthier than ordinary syrups from the store.

Both children and adults love it!

We prepare it according to this recipe from the YouTube channel Kuhinja Valentina Mašković and the assistance of the portal search-2.blogspot.com

We need:

4 liters of water

60 sprigs of young nettle

1 packet of citric acid

1 kg lemons (not treated with chemicals)

2 kg of honey (can be without sweeteners for diabetics)

I prepare it without preservatives because it ends very quickly.

Preparation:

Pour water into a pot and let it boil.

Then pull the container aside.

Soak the nettles in the boiling water (do not boil).

Then finely chop the nettles and return them to the pot.

Add the citric acid.

Let it sit for 24 hours.

Wash the lemons.

Cut them with the peel into smaller pieces.

We put in a mixer.

Beat to a pulp.

Add them to the nettles.

Cover the strainer with cheesecloth and strain the resulting mixture into a clean container.

Add the sugar or honey and stir until completely dissolved.

Then pour the syrup into sterilized glass bottles.

Store in the refrigerator.

Take 1 cup before meals
