Medicinal recipes with rose hips

Preparation methods for liver diseases and bile:

The decoction of rose hips can be prepared in two ways:

Whole fruits – pour two handfuls and 500 ml of boiling water into a thermos. 

Leave for 7-8 hours (or overnight). Strain and take by adding a teaspoon of honey.

Clean the fruits from the hairs and grind in a meat grinder or otherwise. 

Pour 300 ml of water, put on the stove and cook for 15 minutes. 

Strain. Decoction of rose hips is taken half a glass before meals, no more than three times a day.

Tincture of rose hips

It has a beneficial effect on the body, reduces and stops bleeding, eliminates problems with bile, stimulates the work of the gonads, stimulates the healing of burns, frostbite and other wounds, has excellent regenerative properties. 

It is very useful for circulatory disorders.

To prepare rosehip tincture, put a tablespoon of fruit in a bowl (thermos) and pour 500 ml of boiling water, soak until morning. 

Take half a cup twice a day 30 minutes before meals. 

After two days, the tincture loses its beneficial properties, so it is not necessary to consume it at a later stage.

Anemia

Pour 2 tablespoons of rose hips and 2 tablespoons of black currant with 250 ml of cold water. 

Put on the stove and cook slowly for 10 minutes. 

Drink three cups of tea prepared in this way a day for iron deficiency in the blood.

Flu and cold

A mixture of 30 g of rose hips, 20 g of linden blossom, 20 g of elder blossom and 10 g of wormwood is made. 

Pour one tablespoon of the mixture with 250 ml of boiling water. Leave covered for 10 minutes and strain. 

If desired, sweeten the tea with honey and take 2-3 times a day.

Kidney stones

Tea from one tablespoon of crushed seeds is brewed in 250 ml of water for about half an hour, then left for another hour under the lid.

Strengthening immunity

A mixture of 10 g of rose hips, 20 g of chamomile, 20 g of elderberry, 10 g of lemon balm, 10 g of blueberry leaves, 10 g of nettle, 10 g of yarrow, 5 g of calendula and 5 g of hibiscus is made. 

Pour one tablespoon of the mixture into a cup of hot water, let it sit for 10 minutes and strain. 

Consume the tea thus prepared to strengthen immunity twice a day.

Detoxification and blood purification

A mixture of 20 g of rose hips, 10 g of birch leaves and 10 g of wheatgrass is made. 

Pour a spoonful of the mixture with a glass of boiling water, let it stand for 15 minutes under a lid and strain. Drink up to three cups of tea a day.

Rheumatism and arthritis

A mixture of 30 g each of rosehip, linden and elderberry flowers and 10 g of borage flower is made. 

Pour two large spoonfuls of the mixture into one liter of boiling water, cover and let stand for 20 minutes. 

Strain the tea, drink it while it is still warm and sweeten it with honey if desired. 

This tea also helps in treating colds as it promotes sweating.

Diuretic

A mixture of 50 g of rose hips, 20 g of prickly thistle, 10 g of birch leaves and 10 g of horsetail is made. Pour one tablespoon of the mixture with 250 ml of boiling water. 

Leave covered for 10-15 minutes and then strain. 

Take the tea 2-3 times a day.

Laxative

Mix a spoonful of dry crushed rose hips with a quarter of a lemon with the peel and pour 250 ml of cold water. 

Put on the stove and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.

Leave covered for 5-10 minutes and then strain. Drink the tea warm or cold 2-3 times a day, before meals.

Rosehip marmalade

Clean ripe rose hips from seeds and hairs. Grind the fruit and mix it with an equal amount of sugar and water. 

When the water evaporates and the rose hips are completely soft, grind them and boil again until thickened. You can also add a little lemon juice.

Rosehip tea

Pour a teaspoon of dry rosehip leaves with 200 ml of boiling water. 

Cover, let stand 20 minutes, then strain. 

This tea has a very pleasant taste and is used to detoxify the blood and as a mild laxative. 

It is also drunk for jaundice, heavy menstruation and headache.

Vinegar

Pour 125 g of fresh rosehip leaves with one liter of wine vinegar and let it stand for nine days. Use for paws. 

It is especially good for relieving itchy skin, sore gums and removing age spots.

Rose wine

To prepare rose wine, you need 3 kg of fruit, 4 l of boiled water and 2 kg of sugar. 

The rose hips are washed, cleaned of the stalks, cut lengthwise and placed in a container with a wide opening. 

A sugar solution is prepared from water and sugar. The fruits are poured.

The container is covered with a linen cloth and the contents are left in a warm place. 

The wine thus obtained is filtered and bottled, keeping well closed, preferably in a cold cellar.

Rosehip liqueur

You need 250 g of rose hips, 250 g of sugar and 1 liter of 45% wine. 

Cut the rose hips and put them in a 1.5 liter jar. Pour in the wine, add sugar and let it stand for ten days in a warm place, shaking from time to time. 

Strain and bottle. It is useful for strengthening immunity. Take one brandy cup a day.

Honey rose liqueur

Dissolve 300 g of honey in 500 ml of boiling water, add 50 g of rosehip petals and cover. 

After ten minutes, strain, add a liter of brandy and mix. 

When the liquid has cooled completely, pour into bottles and close with a cork.

The liqueur is stored for one month in a cool and dry place and only then can it be consumed.
