INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp olive oil

4 pork chops

1 whole head garlic cloves peeled

2 tbsp butter divided

3/4 c. heavy/whipping cream

1 tbsp flour

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1/2 c. chicken broth or stock

1/4 tsp garlic powder

Fresh parsley chopped (optional, to taste)

Salt & pepper to taste

How to make Creamy Garlic Pork Chops

Step 1: About 15 to 30 minutes before beginning the recipe, remove the pork chops out of the fridge. Generously season both sides of the pork with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Heat the olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. After allowing the pan to heat up for a couple of minutes, add the pork chops and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side until golden. If using thinner chops, cook them for about 3 minutes or 5 minutes for pork chops with up to 1-inch thickness. To a plate, transfer the seared pork chops when done.

Step 3: To the skillet, add the rest of the butter with the garlic. Adjust the heat to medium and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often, until the garlic is slightly browned.

Step 4: To one side of the pan, push the garlic and sprinkle in the flour, making sure to avoid the garlic. Continue to cook for about 30 seconds, then stir until everything is blended with the butter.

Step 5: Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Stir well and cook for a minute more or until the sauce has thickened. Now, add the cream along with the garlic powder and stir until dissolved.

Step 6: Return the pork chops to the pan and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until the sauce has slightly thickened and the meat is completely cooked. The internal temperature of the pork chop should be 145 degrees F. if desired, season the sauce with more salt and pepper.

Step 7: Serve immediately. Enjoy!
