As we well know, the kitchen is one of the most difficult places in the house to keep super clean; in fact, it requires very tedious work every day.
Specifically, one of the most used appliances is the kitchen and especially the oven, which becomes yellowish and even greasy when used every day.
Precisely, we can observe this grease on the oven door, the glass and inside the oven.
The market offers us numerous products to remove grease and dirt that is lodged in the kitchen, but we must be careful not to scratch the glass or damage it in any way.
Nothing better than organic products, as well as homemade tricks to make our kitchen look like new.
Tricks to remove grease from the oven door
First of all, it is important to know that the main ingredients to carry out this deep cleaning are Baking soda and vinegar.
We will carry out the cleaning to remove the grease from the oven door and all its parts:
Clean the glass with vinegar
- We begin by preparing 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 warm or hot water in a spray bottle, shake it well and spray this homemade preparation on the oven glass. We will let it act for about 15 to 30 minutes on the surface; the longer we leave it, the results will be optimal.
- When that time passes, with the help of a sponge we remove all the dirt and grease that has accumulated for some time. The suggestion is to remove it vigorously to drag everything away. If necessary, the procedure is repeated as many times as necessary.
Clean the glass with baking soda
When the grease is deeply rooted in the kitchen, we can try another method, such as using baking soda on this occasion:
- We are going to prepare this homemade trick in a container with baking soda and a little water until we achieve a paste, which we apply to the entire oven door, the glass and let it act for approximately 15 minutes.
- When the time for applying the product is finished, we remove it with hot water until all the dirt and remains of the homemade product are swept away. We finish by wiping it with a damp cloth and drying it with kitchen paper.
Clean the oven rubber or seals
We well know that most kitchens have thin rubber bands or weather stripping built around the oven entrance, these surround the door. The truth is that grease and dirt can also lodge there, which is why we can apply the same homemade formulas.
We are also going to remove the dirt with a damp cloth and dry it with kitchen paper. One recommendation is to allow it to air out a little.
Let’s remember to handle the rubber or weather stripping with great care so as not to detach them, break them or even stretch them unduly.
Another suggestion is to carry out a deep cleaning on a regular basis, otherwise, over time, more grease accumulates and will give off an unpleasant odor.
