Fabulous trick to repair synthetic leather on jackets, bags, shoes and furniture

Lately, synthetic leather does not come with the same quality as before. We can see this when we buy something made of this material and it gets worn out or looks bad. When we see this, we get disappointed and we probably want to get rid of the item quickly.

Before you throw away that garment, let me tell you that there is a very effective homemade solution to repair or renew synthetic leather. We simply have to follow the procedure step by step and with that alone, your garment will be as good as new.

Necessary materials

• Fabric paint (the paint has to be the same color as the fabric)
• White glue
• 2 Brushes

Procedure, step by step

1- To start, we have to put a little white glue on the worn area and, with the help of a brush, spread it evenly. Wait a few minutes until the glue is completely dry. Then, we put another layer of glue.

2- Once it is dry, with the other brush we will paint it gently, until obtaining an even and uniform color.

And that’s it, now we wait for the paint to dry, and you will see that the synthetic leather is as good as new!

Recommendations and tips:

1- When we have a worn or damaged leather jacket, we have to apply moisturizing cream before applying the procedure. The idea is to hydrate the fabric well so that it does not crack later in the area that we repair.

Now, if it is a matter of scratches or scrapes, simply apply the textile paint.

2- If the vinyl comes off over time, simply fill it with glue and carefully attach it to the jacket until it is even. It’s okay if you have to repeat the procedure several times to get it right.

3- We recommend using some oil, especially when we notice that it is starting to crack. This is normal, since UV rays can damage the fabric quite a bit, although this depends on the time it is exposed.

4- We can also prevent cracking by using leather conditioner. This product can be used on any type of leather, whether synthetic or special.
