  1. Aloe vera: resistant decontaminating plant

Aloe vera is a succulent plant from the Asphodelaceae family.  This ornamental plant is not very demanding.   It is also reputed to be effective at purifying ambient air and absorbing formaldehyde, thanks to its decontaminating properties. Aloe vera is also a heat-resistant plant. It is not likely to suffer from the heat radiated by your radiator. The fleshy leaves of aloe vera are waterlogged and therefore this plant requires little watering. Therefore, water your aloe vera only once a week,   even when it is hot.   Dilute a little liquid fertilizer in the watering water every two months. In winter, stop all fertilizers and water only once a month.

  1. Chlorophytum or spider plant

Chlorophytum is a perennial plant with evergreen and decorative foliage. This plant native to South Africa is known for being   very robust and undemanding. Thanks to its bulbs  , chlorophytum can withstand long periods of drought. Even if its leaves wither, a simple watering is enough   to restore vitality to the plant.

  1. Sansevieria: easy-care plant

Sansevieria or mother-in-law’s tongue has the advantage of adapting to any interior. This succulent plant stores water and   therefore resists droughts of several months.  On the other hand, excessive watering can harm it. Hence the interest of placing a layer of clay balls at the bottom of the pot. This will promote drainage, to   prevent root rot.   Also remember to remove any standing water in the saucer or saucepan. Keep in mind that you can propagate your sansevieria from a single leaf.

Haworthia are perennial plants, similar to aloes. These succulents are undemanding   and easy to grow indoors.   They can live with little water and would not be at risk of dying if you forget to water them. In summer, you can water your haworthia only every 2 to 3 weeks, especially when the soil is very dry.

Aspidistra is a perennial ornamental plant with evergreen foliage. This hardy plant   can withstand a lack of light.  Even infrequent watering will not harm your plant. On the other hand, aspidistra needs nitrogen fertilizer to flourish.

Pothos, also called devil’s ivy, is a vine with aerial roots. Depending on the support used,   pothos can have a climbing or descending form.   This houseplant appreciates sunny locations. However, exposure to direct sunlight can burn its foliage. Pothos   resists a lack of water well,   and this for several weeks.

  1. Crassula ovata: a hardy succulent

Crassula ovata, or jade tree, is a succulent plant native to South Africa, and easy to maintain. Like all succulents, it   only requires moderate watering.   It also tolerates drought better than heavy watering, and for good reason – its fleshy tissues store water. Crassula needs   a semi-shaded spot to grow well.   Also remember to mix the potting soil with some sand and add a drainage layer. Keep in mind that the jade tree could, according to Feng Shui, attract luck and money into the house.

Schefflera is a plant native to Asia, with decorative and evergreen foliage. It is appreciated for its aesthetic foliage, but also   for its ability to adapt to interiors.   This vigorous plant does not need much water to flower.

Also called mother-in-law’s cushion, the echinocactus is a variety of cactus. This perennial plant needs little water to thrive.  Monthly watering is sufficient.   This way you won’t have to worry about watering your plant.
