Paradoxically, it is possible to end up with a mirror that is streaked and smudged due to cleaning. It is a surface that can hold fingerprints, scratches or traces of cleaner. However, it is easy to avoid these inconveniences simply by using the right cleaning product and doing it the right way. In particular, by avoiding the use of a cloth that can leave lint.

What do you need:

  • White vinegar
  • A microfiber cloth
  • a spray bottle

After removing dust from the glass surface, pour vinegar into a spray bottle and then spray the cleaner directly onto the mirror. Then wipe with a dry microfiber cloth   to give the mirror a nice shine.   During this cleaning process, wipe from right to left and then from top to bottom.

Keep in mind that if you are tempted to use circular motions,   these could leave marks  . Also, occasionally examine the mirror from different angles to see if there are still any marks you may have missed.

Another cleaning technique is to wipe the mirror   with   cold black tea. If this seems rather unusual, the latter is a good ally for shine for mirrors but also for bay windows and windows. Something that is due to its degreasing effect. As for the previous technique, spray the spray directly on the mirror, wipe with a soft, clean cloth and then dry with another dry cloth.

Before you move on to cleaning, you should start by dusting the mirror and removing any traces of toothpaste or other products. Here are some old grandmother’s tricks that you may find useful when disassembling your mirror.

– Disassemble your mirrors with isopropyl alcohol

What you will need:

  • homemade alcohol
  • Cotton
  • Water
  • A microfiber cloth
  • a   used toothbrush

Soak the cotton in isopropyl alcohol and then use it   to rub the stained areas of the mirror in circular motions.   If you see dirt around the edges, you can loosen them with a toothbrush soaked in alcohol. You will then gently scrub the involved parts and then wipe with a cloth soaked in water to rinse. Use zigzag motions and avoid using fluffy cloths or paper towels to dry. You should end up with a glass with a flawless finish.
