SAUSAGE EGG & CHEESE BISCUIT CASSEROLE
Oh, my! This recipe is so good! A big thanks to my sister, Heather, for this! You have got to give this one a try, I’m telling you! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Ingredients:
1 pound ground pork breakfast sausage
1 cup Italian 5 cheese blend, shredded
4 large Eggs
3/4 cup whipping cream
1 Tablespoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
10 ounces can butter tasting biscuits
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in an 11×8-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add the sausage and cook until crumbly and brown. Drain any excess oil.
Step 5: Transfer the cooked sausage and cheese into the greased baking dish.
Step 6: In a mixing bowl, add the cream, eggs, garlic salt, thyme, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 7: Pour the mixture on top of the sausage and cheese.
Step 8: Spread the biscuits on top of everything.
Step 9: Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until done.
Step 10: Remove from the oven and cover the baking dish with foil.
Step 11: Put it back inside the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
Step 12: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
