Laurel, a magnificent plant!

Defining the laurel plant as a magnificent plant is anything but an exaggeration. Its properties are, in fact, numerous. For example, you can make infusions and teas  that  combat abdominal pain; while thanks to the fragrance that distinguishes it, it is possible  to perfume  the entire house and optimize recipes of all kinds.

Obviously, some people already know that this plant is also associated with a very ancient symbolism: just think that the crowns of several wise men and rulers of antiquity were adorned with laurel.

Why use it in the refrigerator?

But why should you use this plant in  your refrigerator  ? For a very simple reason: the laurel plant is able to  perfume the entire interior of the appliance  . Have you noticed that sometimes when you open the refrigerator door you notice bad or very strong smells?

There are some foods that, more than others, give off a  very intense smell  , which is not necessarily linked to the correct state of preservation. Let’s think about cheese, for example. To solve the problem, you can use bay leaves. It will be enough to spread a few  leaves  on the different shelves of the appliance and leave them for several days.

It could also be combined with the action of sodium bicarbonate, which is also very useful against bad odors, thanks to its absorbent action.

Other methods you can try

There are also other alternative methods for using this plant. For example, you can prepare an  infusion  that can be used to perfume your home and surfaces: in this case, you just need to boil some leaves in a saucepan and then put them in every room of the house.

Did you know that it is possible to break up the leaves of this magical plant directly  into the vacuum cleaner bag  , to perfume the whole house after using the appliance? Seeing is believing!

You could also think about making bags full of bay leaves and placing them in  drawers  and  cupboards  . This way, you will scare away unwanted insects and you will be able to perfume the whole area: your clothes, whatever they are, will be fragrant to the max!
